[OT] Urgent Help Needed! W2K3 Server problem

Sorry for OT - but I've got a big problem.

Any server experts out there?...

Big disaster here :( Wonder if you can advise what I need to do?

I have a recently built W2K3 R2 server running:

Exchange 2K3 Server
Domain Controller
All the bits such as IIS, FTP, WINS, DHCP etc

Only recently finished installing so no backup yet :(

I was installing Acronis true image enterprise trial to see what it
was like and had a load of problems with one of the components not
installing (backup server). After lots of research on their forums,
it appears lots of people were also having the problem. Anyway,
decided to remove it but on restart, the event log was still showing
the server was still trying to restart the Acronis backup server
(which had failed to install). I went into the registry and removed
all traces of the acronis install but didn't touch anything else.
There were a few drivers and program entries. Unfortunately, I still
hadn't made a backup and did not backup the registry DOH!!! (OK, so
I know I'm stupid!)

I restarted and then got a BSOD STOP 0x0000007B which then just
rebooted and looped. I tried all the options - safe mode, last good
config, etc etc - but nothing worked. no boot log seems to have been
written but safe mode shows it fails after ACPITABL.DAT.

I'm guessing one of the drivers maybe is still being referenced
somewhere but I've deleted the entries for it - or maybe shagged
something else in the registry although I was careful (maybe not
careful enough!)

I can get into the recovery console and did a LISTSVC but there
aren't any obvious drivers/services loading that spring to mind.

If I attempt a reinstall over the old install, will I shag
everything? Any other steps I should take before going down this
path?

Thanks,

Paul.

(ps if replying off list - please email to psghome2002 @ yahoo dot
co dot uk as my mail server is down!) Thanks.
