I'd highly recommend the sagem series of set-top boxes available from
Argos. The basic model comes in at =A325, does scart RGB and the usual
freeview stuff. The receiver is very sensitive, it will works fine
with a free-standing internal aerial in a reasonable signal area, and
the picture quality is excellent. The firmware also seems to be very
reliable - no random lockups. You can also control the volume from the
set top box remote, so if you have a scart capable telly you can
effectively control the TV from a single remote which is nice.
