Probably. For the real thing i.e. circuits I print this top layer one
as a
mirror onto acetate and then make sure I get it on the copper the correct
way round. This gives a much cleaner edge to the etchings as the toner is
touching the PCB rather than being the acetate thickness away.

Could the missing step be making a negative image from the positive one,
so
that the copper etched the right way round, to give a 'positive' moulded
finger?
