The layout of that room means they are not best suited.

And most of my rooms are dimmable via CBUS - so these are no good there
either. So, I'll use them in places where no dimming required and
placement is better.

Even if comparable to a 20W, still almost 700% less energy used.

That's great - I've always been nervous at changing dichroic lamps for
LED's only to find we'd need night-vision!

I take it from your experiment you won't be using the LED lamps - the 3W
LED seems to give out significantly less light than a 50W conventional.
Perhaps more comparable to a 35W or 20W dichroic?
