Hi,

I am new to home automation but am about to take the plunge. I've
found this group really useful but sometimes a bit high brow for a
novice like me!

Anyway I wondered if anyone had any advice or useful sites. I am
thinking of running Homeseer software on me PC and getting the X10 and
Zwave interfaces to be able to control x10 and z-wave based lights and
an alarm system comprising, door and window contacts, motion detectors
and a camera that I can use to view my flat from the internet.

Does this sound like a good idea? Any ideas for beginner level tips
and sites where best to purchase kit would be very gratefully received.

Thanks,

Shuvo
