Being the techie for an ISP who sells ADSL, SDSL and Max products, you do
NOT need a different type of filter - however the quality of the filter
doe=
s
affect things. We supply USRobotics filters and these do the job well.

I gave up with ADSL max (with Nildram), back to my humble (but very
reliable) 512k service, with 2 months free for the inconvenience.

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] ADSL Max - New microfilters?
Hi,
Does anyone know if new microfilters are required when upgrading to=20
ADSL Max?
Whilst trying to get a fault resolved on a very unstable ADSL Max=20
line, a BT techie told me that all ISPs should be providing new
"ADSL=20
Max compatible" microfilters when upgrading lines.
My ISP deny this categorically! I am now wondering if it was a cock=20
and bull story from BT to get me off the phone....
I've googled, searched ADSL Guide, samknows etc etc, but can find no=20
reference to the need for new microfilters.
Thx!
Mark
