Just decided to splash out on a pair and they really are whisper
quiet!

Only noise was a slight whistle as the drive span up, inaudible when
operating
thanks to not having a fan.

They have an external PSU (with sensible 4-pin mini-DIN, not the 6-pin that
falls out!) and power switch on the unit so no, they don't power down.

Someone mentioned about the bright Blue LED, it really IS bright and
flashes
psychedelic Red during activity! Nothing a neat bit of tape won't cure...!

Very impressed with the build quality.

I haven't can't find many web reviews relating to this Toshiba drive.

Could somebody please let me know :
- How quiet it is ? (Intend to use it in the lounge with my MCE PC)
- If it automatically powers down with the PC ? (or do I have to
manually switch it off ?)
