Lets discuss Insurance

Hi,

I've just been looking around for some insurance quotes that take my
kit into account.

How do you explain the concept of Node 0 and general must have geek-
gadgets ?

Are there any insurers you guys would/would not recommend ?

As much as I'd love to get a dirt cheap quote, I'd prefer to hear back
from people who've had to make a real claim and not been stung by the
insurer.

And while we're at it you know if there is any such insurance that
takes the time taken to configure that kit into account ? Most of last
year SWMBO felt heavily neglected whilst I was configuring my MCE PC,
NAS Media Server, CCTV server, Home Automation controller...da daa da
daa daaa. These things take thousands of hours to fine tune.

If I were to ever lose my kit, yeah the insurance company might pay
up, but `er-in-doors would probably leave me whilst I re-configure it
again. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts...

(I can appreciate a monetary payment won't really help, but if you can
get covered for loss of earnings in car accidents, then why not for
burglaries ?)

Cheers
