I'd ask the hoster to run the command for you.

It's nothing out of the ordinary, and hosters that don't offer SSH access
will be used to that sort of request.

Ok so my hosting provider does not all SSH connections!!!!

How on earth do I run a perl (pl) file?

I am basically trying to add some plugins to squirrelmail. Everything is
working fine but I just want to add additional functions to it.
