Re: Re: Garden lights

Ewen

The X10 switches are in the garden, in IP67 enclosures.

Yes, I have one X10 switch per transformer. I have a total of 6
tranformers. Our garden is about 1/3 acre, divided in to a small formal
area and a larger informal/kids area, with swings etc.

We have 3 sets in the formal area that are triggered via a PIR and 3
sets in the informal area that we switch on when needed, via the comfort
keypad.

The spots and floods are used mainly as keylights to pick out specimen
plants (although they are all a bit small at the moment as we have only
just replanted.

I also have two sets of uplighters in the slabs but I'd advise steering
clear of those. Despite my best efforts at water-proofing them, they are
very damp and trip the external circuits RCD every time I switch them on
:-(

I was thinking of setting up scenes etc but TBH, what we have is great
for our requirements.

Sometime, I'll try and take some photo's at dusk. If they come out OK,
I'll send them over.

HTH

Regards

Neil
