Ahh. right!

I was going to use one of those dongle things to divert the call to a
corded
desk phone in my office.. Although I could do with an answer machine...

any thoughts on answer machines/answer phones that would be compatible and
not sound like a 20 year old tape to the listener?

Cheers,

Jonathan

One thing to watch out for with Call Sign is the type of phone you use !!!

Some modern phones, particularly those that are powered from the mains,
generate their own ringing cadence when ringing current is detected on the
line. This means that the phone will sound the same even though the
exchange
is sending different ringing cadances for each number.

This is particularly important if you are using a PBX.

There are some gizmos on sale that will route a call to a different phone
on
receipt of distinctive ringing.

A normal corded phone that doesnt have any external power feed should work
fine.

Regards

Keith
