I replaced the battery for my dell 7500 with a non-OEM one.  It really
wasn't worth it.  The original battery lasted for 3 years with regular
charge discharge cycles, the replacement lasted for just over a year,
and its performance had degraded markedly after 6 months.  I bought it
from the US as that was much cheaper, but a friend handcarried it over
for me.
