Streaming music players?

A friend of mine want=92s a central PC MP3 server with a device in
each roo=
m (a beauty salon) to play streamed music. The device in each room would
ne=
ed a speaker output (or even have speakers built-in). The cost also has to

be low-ish.

We=92re not even sure if she want=92s to actually play different music in
e=
ach room, so a distributed speaker system might even do =96 but a separate
=
system would obviously give more flexibility.

What are the options?
