Yes,  do it close to the camera to avoid noise on the picture from the
camera & PSU.

Hopefully a quick question....

I've bought a miniature CCTV board camera of ebay and it has three single
wires off the board:



Video (Yellow)

12v+ (Red)

Gnd (Black)



Do I need to common the ground for both the video and 12v?
