RE: mains power



Thats the reason to do it.

I have run dual feeds from dedicated RCD breakers to outlets at each end of
my aquariums, half the heaters are on each, half the lighting and half the
filtration (well only one tank has 2 filters at this stage) - reason being
that if one trips the other should hold its own till normality returns.

I really would like to find some UPSes that take 2 feeds, as around the
house I have run certain circuits back to a seperate breaker panel which at
some time when I can afford it will be connected to a nice grunty genny.
(for those that arnt aware the power grid around auckland is comparable to
most 3rd world countries for reliability)

I've never considered this to be an issue, as any ripple on the supply will
be on the phase and affect the kit irrespective of where the feed is
connected. The only difference being of course if you smooth the feed.

I've got a separate feed to my PC kit, but that's so it's on a different
RCD
from the rest of the house and not affected by faulty appliances (as
happened the other day, with the iron that started tripping).
