I'm using one of these CPC units, it uses the standard FTDI chip and
has
worked faultlessly.

Has an interesting facility of a reset button on each port, so the system
can be forced to rescan the port if you attach an RS232 plug-n-pray device.

Although it has an external power socket, one is not supplied but it's not
=
a
problem if your RS232 devices are self-powered.

If you use the part code CS1279201 (as below, but with a promotional code

f
01 on the end) you will get a few quid off an already cheap price!
