OT?! Easy, simple html page with image thumbnails and big image?!

Hi all,
I'm helping a friend with a web page and am up against a very tight
time scale.
Need to display a series of thumbnails and have them clickable to show
a larger image.

Ideally I'd love to have a table of thumbnails with a big empty cell
above the table, clicking a thumbnail would display the image in the
big box.

I need to avoid any third party software that will in some way brand
the page or affect the layout too heavily.

My skills are minimal, can manage minimal html/javascript copy and
paste and editing within dreamweaver mx.

Any ideas how i can achieve this?!
