The PVR250 is a hardware mpeg encoder card. If you're not recording
you
don't need one. Any decent GeForce 4 or better will have composite out
built in.

Hauppauge WinTV PVR 250 seems to be recommended a lot  is this still a good
card to go for for what I need?
