Correct...

Well, yes it is the cause of your problem but it isn't the cause of your
video and audio going out of sync ... That's down to you routing the two
vi=
a
different routes.

Nope - you'll still find a lipsync error even then as the processing of the
stream takes some time and even a tenth of a second delay is noticeable and
annoying.

Yup - until Microsoft's might manages to convince uncle Rupert to allow the
reception of his "service" by PCI DVB-S cards.

If you want to keep your Sky all digital then Sky+ / Sky HD is your only
option for now...
