Ah, I'd been meaning to post about this for a week or two... - I've
noticed=
a fair amount of the Motorola Homesight kit available in PC World, - speci=
fically, the bit that caught my eye was the wired camera part of the
system=
, since this is an extraordinarily reasonable =A330... - this is for a
wire=
d colour CCTV camera with an inbuilt PIR, and microphone (no IR
illuminatio=
n AFAIK), and it looks like an OEM version of a Voltek camera, since it
app=
ears to be identical to the camera I currently have mounted at my front
doo=
r (and which cost me closer to =A370). Natch, the camera has a connector
on=
it that's propietary to the Motorola system (it's designed to plug directl=
y into the Homesight hub) - it's a mini-DIN plug. - I bet it would
easy-pea=
sy for anyone on this list to cut the mini-DIN plug off, identify the
cores=
, and solder on "standard" connectors... - Voila, a very cheap
colour CCTV =
camera!
