RE: MCE 2005 Sound Card Suggestions Wanted

I must admit I didn't look to hard but, I've just ordered a Terratec
PCI 7.1
Comes in at around 31 quid from Scan

I'll be doing my MCE build next week so I can report back then.

None of the soundblaster cards seem to have spdif

It converts everything to Dolby Digital Live apparently but I'm yet to see
how that will work, might be appealing or not. Apparently there is an
issue
with the card (might be solved now) which crashes the pc if you change
sound
modes on the pc whilst something is playing, but I reckon I would do most
switching on the amp anyhow (hopefully!!!).

Aside from that it got reasonable reviews for the price.

If you are still looking in a week or so I can report back with more
information.

Thanks

Dave

Hi all,

I'm looking for a new sound card for my MCE 2005 system, one with
SPDIF / Digital out.

Can anyone recommend one?

TIA
Darren
