Yes, I'd not noticed that - the instructions do say they are 4 pole
plugs!  Second time I've had to look at the instructions in two days -
disaster ;-)

It would be interesting to see if you can get 4 pairs from one of
these cards.  You would of course need a proper 7.1 cable to sort the
channels out instead of 3 regular 3.5mm stereo to phono.

Unfortunately, I then had a quick look at the KX forums:

Sort of indicates that only 3 stereo are available at present. Ithink
that means that even though kx supports 7.1 on one of its drivers
(0/1)it is only proper 7.1 and you cant get to the final pair (Devices
4/5, 6/7 and 8/9 are the stereo outs) - at least that's my reading of
it.  However, I have to admit that while kx is a superb project, its
so clever and flexible that I've never really got my head round it
properly!
