RE: Scart Plug using Cat 5?

It worked fine when I tried it, I used one pair each for the R B and
G, a
pair for composite and then in the second cable a pair for the RGB blank, a
pair for the input switch and a pair for left and right audio. I figured I
would use the second cable for audio so that it was seperate from possible
interferance from the video.

Images were nice and clean with no visable crosstalk from the composite
cable which is what I was most worried about.

depending on which signals you plan to use, it's possible. for
instance, if you wanted svideo and stereo audio from it, you could
actually do it with one cat5 cable, iirc. wouldn't recommend cat5
for long runs if you're using rgb though.
