The VP1000 is actually rebadged PowerMax+ hardware, as the internal pcb is
labelled 'Visonic PowerMax+'.
To 'enable' the X10 on the VP1000 you will need a 'PowerMax+ rs232 adapter'
and a special VP1000 config file to load onto the VP1000. I purchased this
as a 'kit' from a previous SmartHome show a year or so ago.
The VP1000 will then need to be connected to a XM10U (not CM12U), my
current
setup is:
VP1000 -> XM10U -> CM12U -> Homeseer
BTW- I was pleasantly surprised at the wireless range of the PIRs to the
panel (better than the WiFi range in my house).
However, the one thing Im not looking forward to is replacing all the CR-2
batteries in the PIRs when they fail, could work out quite expensive. If
anyone knows a good bulk source of these batteries please let me know.
