I don't have comfort or cbus, but I would consider a different approach to
HA control of the heating, via the roomstat.

I replaced my mechanical stat with a remote controllable heatmiser (about
40
quid IIRC).

The heating is set to 'cont' ie on all the time, and the heatmiser
schedules
the temp for different times of day night.

I have remote control of temp via harmony remote to override temp setting,
I
can send a discrete IR command to set temp from 18-30deg from customised
buttons on the remote.

I plan to use some sort of IR control from HA server (USBIRT?) to add more
intelligent control, but I assume you could use comfort IR?

I saw the advantage of using IR as it meant I did not need to interfere
with
the heating controls, and gives opto-isolation to the controller.
