It's not really too much hassle for the value you get - the thing is that
for all the annoyances, you can do things with XBMC that you can't do any
other way (without shelling out a lot!)

I don't, for instance, think that the MVP would come close to playing as
many different formats as XBMC.

Get some feedback from the other users - personally, I'm always amazed at
the glowingly positive experiences people have with XBMC, as it bears so
little in common with my own experience - but there's always the
possibilit=
y
that it's just me ! :D

I like things to work, from what you described I think it would be too much
hassle!

I think I will go back to my original idea and use a Hauppage mediampv....
which can be got for =A350. this gives access to your PC via your TV. also
there is dedicated forum for it!

I will just ask in the room, if anyone has experience of one of these
items=
.
