Re: xap hacked ?



Yeah - real pain in the a**e when that happens!

I run phpBB on my site and lost the forums and the main page the other
month - lucky I got to it before the site was re'googled' as there was a
big splash of profanities!

Turned out that there was a worm that was using google to find phpbb
sites and spread - I think by the time it hit me, part of the files that
were needed to carry the worm on were starting to be removed. So a
quick(!) replacement of the main page and upgrade of the forums were in
order to get everything back in order.
