Have another go, I've got the same meter running DMM Version 2 and it
works
fine for me on XP and 2000 Workstation. It even worked on an XP laptop
connected via a usb-serial adapter. XP sometimes has an issue with serial
devices when booting - it thinks they are a mouse - installs the driver and
then collapses in a heap but there are patches to fix it.
