Terabyte is definetly the way to go, though if they are firewire
connected you'll almost certainly need a mac (mini) if you want to
power down the drives when not in use (to be accurate, with windows
they powered down even if in use and then wouldn't come back up!)

Works a treat for me, many thanks to Phil for his advise (btw Phil not
had any problems with drives dropping out of the network yet)
