That it may do but if you move to Linux then you move to a platform that is
built on the efforts of volunteers which - although with the absolute best
of intentions and I do recognise this - results in stuff like the absolute
farce that is the Linux firewire support (and I'm sure that this isn't the
only support area in which Linux is deficient).

[Ducks and awaits the inevitable pro-linux supporters bleating how good the
OS really is.]
