But common sense and hard stares from t'other half prevailed.

By using the single modules I've given up the audio functions in every
room,
at least until a new MFP comes along. I'm also convinced that PIR/Light and
probably IR are best in the ceiling anyway, and temp should probably be
somewhere else than next to a door.

My plan is that an MFP in the hall (maybe in a cupboard) and one in the
study (1st floor) will provide sufficient access to the menu functions in
the meantime, along with some other stuff, such as web tablets and
multi-function remotes.
