best way to stream live tv to xbmc

i want to stream live tv to an xbox using xbmc and i'm wondering if
anyone
has any experience with this.

i have two options. the first is to bring an old tivo back to life and
stream the video over the network via turbonet.

the second option is to set up a myth tv machine (again) and stream from
the
mythtv backend to xbmc.

has anyone tried either, or both, and found one solution to be better than
the other? do either work ok?

at the most basic requirement i only really need the video streaming. i
could change channels on the sky box feeding the signal if need be. basic
pvr features (pause live tv etc) would be nice but not essential.

thanks
john
