Part P questions

Some questions for anyone with part P experience.

I've decided to go the Idratek route, as being the easiest wired system to
retro-fit and still leave the existing wiring intact (in case I sell the
house in the future).

First off, is LAN cabling outside the "remit" of part P?

Am I correct in thinking that replacement of switches with Idratek
equivalents is replacement and, therefore, doesn't need to be notified?

How is the Idratek bus cabling viewed under the rules?

(Assume the above are not in a kitchen or special location).

As an aside, I've just looked at the latest version of the notification
guide (v8 !!). Interesting to note that you can now pretty well do anything
in an out-building, providing the incoming supply was already there.
Originally it came under the same restrictive rules as the house.

Thanks for any info!

Jim
