Serial over ethernet

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for information for Serial over Ethernet devices. I seem to
remember that we've seen some pass through this group before and hope
some of you may have some experience. I need to move my serial CM12U to
the main house as there is just too much interference in node0. Now I
really don't want the hassle of running a new cable to the main house so
I was hoping to use the existing network. I seem to remember that there
are devices you can buy that you just plug in a serial device one end,
the other to the network. You then install software for virtual COM port
on the server and away you go.

I've found several incarnation on the web, but they all seem to
expensive to way overboard for what I want. Anyone got any good
solutions or more importantly and cheap StoE devices for sale :D

Much appreciated.

Marc
