New X-10 module programming problems

Has anyone tried using the new X-10 compatible Lamp and Appliance
modules that L.A.
are selling (item number 12168)?

I've tried adding a couple of the lamp modules into my existing X-10 setup
but am
having real difficulty programming an X-10 address into them. I press and
hold the
program button until the LED comes on, and then send an X-10 command
through, and
nothing happens - it just sits with the LED flashing for 30 seconds and
then times
out back to normal mode again.

I've tried sending the X-10 command using both a mini timer and also
through
Homeseer without success, but I know X-10 is being sent as I've put in one
of the
old style lamp modules into the same socket and tested, and that responds
fine.

Anyone got any tips or recommendations about either what I'm doing wrong,
or how to
get them programmed with an address ?

Thanks
