Temperature Sensors

Is there anyway though wireless or X10 I can have temperature sensors
at various points in my house (maybe one in the garden) that I can
report back to my PC somehow? I am just designing some software for
my media centre PC and I would like to be able to see the temprature
of these various locations on screen.
