Absolutely not.

I have had bit torrents running for days at a time without any problems

Cap your upstream bandwidth in Azureus (probably the best bit torrent
client) to about 15K upstream, and it shouldn=92t interfere with your

usage.

And, obviously, don=92t let your eyes get bigger than your bandwidth =96

many torrents open at once can cause connection issues on the cheaper
routers.

Bit torrent is great :P

Yes its normal because bittorrents flood your machine with incoming and
outgoing connections.

Letting people download from you makes things worse because when you flood
your upstream
bandwidth (which isnt much on 1mb) you put a serious lag on your download
bandwidth because
upsteam is used to make requests for downstream etc.

Rule one is that bittorrent is crap.. aint used it in years... stick to
usenet or something.

Sorry for the OT post but I am getting mad...

If I benchmark my 1Mb F2S connection all is usually fine - as soon as I
start a BitTorrent Client it drops through the floor - not just for the
bittorrent application but for everything. Is this normal.

What is the point of paying =A325/month for an uncapped service if it isn't
possible to reach anything close to the cap because of the speeds allowed

y
the ISP - Granted, they do release them between 1 and 5AM, or so they
say....
Any recommendations for an ISP with a more sensible approach? I've had
enough.

BTW, I kind of like my IP Address (Ultra-sad I know) - would I be able to
take it with me?
