While on the subject....

I have seen the internals of a few baluns which cost rediculiously high
amounts of money sometimes yet have
very little components actually inside them.

Has anyone tried to reverse engineer a few and find out exactly what is
being done which is surely just some
signal amplification and not much more?

I am iterested in creating my own USB balun.

Has anyone else looked into it?
