Ah yes - good idea. Did you wire to the standards or just use any old
pair?

Cheers,

Paul.

Paul, as you're obviously already comfortable with DIY solutions, do
what I did, and make your own adapters. Just go to any nearby
"Poundland" or similar and buy some bog standard telephone
extension
cables (for a pound!) cut 8 inches or so off each end, and crimp an RJ45
onto the bared ends. From each extension cable you then get 1 x RJ45 to
BT PLUG and 1 x RJ45 to BT SOCKET pair - you may not need the former,
depending on how you connect the BT line to the patch panel in Node 0...
- orginally I used the first DIY cable to make a single port patch from
a standard BT wall outlet into a "normal" port on my panel, but
more
recently I dedicated a block of ports on my panel to phones and punched
the BT cable across a commonned block of 6 ports on my patchpanel, so
now I just use standard RJ45-RJ45 patchcords instead.
