[HELP] Very inexpensive Speaker Switching

  • Subject: [HELP] Very inexpensive Speaker Switching

I am trying to create an inexpensive speaker switching system and I am
fine
with the format:

Output to multiple zone Volume controllers (in Zone) and then onto the
Speakers (all with speaker cable).

Fine however the actual switches that I have seen are U G L Y. I have a
picture in my head of what I think it should look like and cannot find
anything to match.

Ideally the switch will be wall mounted with a nice face plate and located
somewhere very close to the audio source. Ideally the plate will have an
input for phono cables or have the grips for the wire. And some zone
selectors. That's all. Anyone got any ideas (I have transferred my thought
onto a diagram if anyone wants to have a look then I will gladly email them
if they think they know of a plate that would meet the requirements.

The reason for this is that the source input will not be known at the time
of install so a phono input or grips would allow any type of audio output
to
interface into the multi-zonal system.

Ideas?
