Fw: Improving Xantech IR ?

  • Subject: Fw: Improving Xantech IR ?

Yes, always been sluggish, but better when I replaced the utp with ftp/stp
cable.

I have 3 receivers - one downstairs, one in the cinema room, and one in
the bedroom. they are all well away from each others, and IR signals cant
get to each other.

Power is always being toggled with various electrical changes going on :-)
I think it's purely interference from all the other cables running through
the house (like a LOT of cat5). Wondering if it's worth trying the KAT5 IR
to see how that differs...

Has it always been sluggish ??

A couple of things to check

1: Is is possible that 2 receivers are receiving the same signal from a
remote ??
2: Have you tried toggling the power to see if it returns to normal
operation when power is restored ??
