Hi All
Paul,

If your brothers boiler is a potterton, you may find that there are some
dry
joints on the larger components, A buddy of mine repaired his only the
other
day, several cracks in the solder.

This reported fault was found on a web site discussion group, one guy had
been quoted 250st for a new panel, (allegedly) potterton denied there was a
reoccurring fault, he did his own and 5 of his neighbors over the next
couple of weeks

Hope this is of help

This is really my first input to the group although I do get the digests
every day, not that I have the time to go through them all

Subject: [OT] Diode equivalent needed - help!

Hi all,

My bro has a problem with hi heating and found a burnt out diode in the
control panel. I need to find an equivalent to the following that can be
got
from Maplin on Sat.

BZW03C51 Zenner diode (glass bead type)

Can anyone help find a suitable alternative?

Of course, there could always be other problems on the PCB but it's worth
checking first :-)

Paul.
