S-video input can't be used within MCE 2005. The Freeview stream is MPEG
already so the MPEG hardware isn't used. Although the input exists on the
Black Gold card it can't be used. The Nova-T doesn't have this option at
all. Black Gold can use this hardware running their own application but not
in MCE 2005, shame really.=20

In fact video capture is a major problem within MCE if you are trying to

the same hardware as you use for the TV. This is because MCE takes
exclusiv=
e
use of the TV hardware even if the MCE interface isn't running. This is to
ensure that the TV hardware is available to record a TV programme whatever
the PC is doing.

Can I ask, both cards seem to have an svideo connector, can you have
freeview and use the svideo on MCE 2005?=20

I use the SweetSpot cards that we sell (suprise suprise)...

...they seem to be exactly the same card as the Black Gold.
