To be honest if you're getting a garbled signal (errors) then amplifying
that signal will make it just as garbled but louder! Bang on at NTL
complaining that the standard of the service isn't good enough -

No they're not - they cater for the Sun reading football watching portion
of the country who outnumber those who want a decent quality of signal.
They aren't set up to handle problems that are variable.

I had problems with them at one point and contacted my bank telling them
that NTL were debiting my account for a service that wasn't up to scratch
and my bank did put a halt on their payments for a couple of months ...
they came out pretty sharpish and sorted my service out once they weren't
getting paid (and once they'd found out *WHY* they weren't getting paid).
