My standard Xantech IR receiver would actually stop working after I got my
Sharp LCD due to picking up too much background IR but my Media Centre IR
receiver shows that it is constantly receiving a signal yet still works.

Anyway - not a problem nowadays as I use an iPronto and a NetExtender so
no worries about IR at all. :-D
