Probably not that you'd notice and if you were worried about that then you
wouldn't be siting your amps remotely from your speakers anyway... ;-)

I used to use XLRs for sub boxes when I was doing in car audio stuff and I
still rate them highly.

I like the male (cable) speakon connectors but the ones I used to get had
the female (chassis) connector with push on tags for termination and I've
never really liked that as a connector.
