I can throttle ports or specific programs . Well I used to .. now I don't
bother .. my pipe is big enough for anything now!



I usually find that what really creates a bottle neck is the out going
bandwidth . if in Azurues you cap the upload speed of your torrents so it
is
well below your maximum you regain your overall download speeds for surfing
the web etc. You can do this for each individual torrent in Azurues.

I use azurues with a timer plug-in

Throttles back at my usual surfing times, then lets it go full flow over
night etc. Very occassionally I need to manually control it if I'm surfing
very late or something.

Hi Guys





I have a small network at home with sbs2003 as the main server; I have
laptops and other pc's. One of these is used for bit torrent stuff and
as I would expect slows down the internet connection for the other
machines.



What I have to do at the moment in login to the machine via rdc and
pause the downloads so that I can then use other machines for browsing
and what I tend to do is forget to switch it back on. The other scenario
is when I am out an about I log into sbs via vpn this is of course very
slow. Until I rdc in and switch off the downloads.



What I am looking for is some software to control the flow it would be
nice if I could do it from the cmd line so I can set up simple icons.



Anyone any thoughts
