Re wireless thermostats

Patrick,

I use Danfoss, 3 thermostats and 3 channel receiver all off ebay no where
near £80 each, in fact not much more for the whole lot.

In use 2 years, just starting 3rd winter. The channel serving the 2nd most
distant sender missed a couple of triggers first winter but ok 2nd winter.

A 2/5 day tp5rf is perfect for my office. Work at home and I *try* to avoid
Sat/Sun working.
A 7 day tp7000rf for the lounge.
A 2/5 tp5rf for upstairs is a PITA 'cos we live 1/1/5 day cycle but
tp7000rf
wont fit where I wanted it and hey Homeseer/VIOM and some relays soon
sorted that out!

Also Homeseer/VIOM/Relays/Intruder Alarm switch the heating off when we go
out and, obviously, back on when we come in - if we haven't already rung up
and fired it up remotely! Lounge and Upstairs also have relays which over
ride the thermostats so Homeseer can run the heating without reference to
the set temperature, but up to the TRV temps which are set at a higher
*Very
Comfortable Thank you* setting!

Very flexible system.
Did I save any money? doubt it. But that wasn't my first priority.
Does it work? certainly does, Swimbo gave her operational OK when the new
button next to her bed was labelled "push here to make the house
HOT"

HTH

Andyw

Long time lurker, hope this post put a little back in for the massive
amounts I've had out!
