Low cost ethernet analog/digital controller sought

Hi all,

I quite fancy a few new DIY projects and am looking for a low cost ethernet
(or serial at a push) controller that allows you to output or regulate a
small DC voltage (up to 5V or 12V or so). I'm not an electronics genius
(on
the contrary), so anything that requires a soldering iron is out of the
question, unless it is to connect 2 wires or so. Anyone seen such a thing?
That doesn't cost over the moon?

I'm also looking for a low cost (spot the trend) ethernet (or again, serial
if nothing else is available) controller that can switch 1 or 2 relays
(simple on and off). If the two controllers can be combined to one then
even better, but that's not a requirement.

Thanks,

Q.
