RE: Stair Lighting

My stairs in the selfbuild went in over the weekend, but before they did, I
fitted some small LED lights to the side of each of the treads. The lights
came from B&Q in the end; annoyingly they had to be LV because the
choice of
mains LED lights suitable for stairs is very limited &/or very
expensive.
The finished result looks fantastic IMHO; well worth the hassle. Obviously
nothing in the house is finished yet, but as there's a fairly large central
atrium with 2 sets of stairs, it was important to make some sort of feature
of the stairs.

I don't have any photo's yet, but can take some when I'm back home
tomorrow.
They cast a very ambient, subtle light, so they'll probably be on most of
the evening, then switched via X10 PIR outside of normal hours.

Subject: [ukha_d] Stair Lighting

Chaps

We planning on doing some major re-decorating for our hall down and up,
and all the way up the stairs. And I'm thinking that some stair lighting
might be funky. Has nayone got any galleries of pictures of design ideas
for this ?

Im thinking of a pressure mat on the first and last steps so comfort can
kick them on (ie mebe some led lighting?)

Open for ideas....
